So still and focused. I love this photo, and how it communicates so much: that he is driven by a vision that can only come from deep contemplation. Finally the "higher consciousness vote" will be represented in Washington!

Nez, ZC, Kathy, glad to hear everyone sees what I see in that pic! I love how inwardly focused his energy and attention are. And now that he's president-elect, this image strikes me as a metaphor for the moment: Obama preparing for the big stage, in silence, contemplating the challenges ahead.

Kai, the other day, when we were talking about Tim Wise, I really meant what I said, it bothers me for a number of reasons.
First of all, he makes money off of it, and although he does put out some freebies, that's like a fast food restaurant standing there with samples, And self-interest can get caught up in it when money is made. Here's is my honest opinion, I have never read any of his books but I have read much of what he gives for free. He doesn't write to the average person, he is not accessible or enduring. Most people would find him too verbose and tedious, he blows a lot of wind when just a simple elegance (like you) would be suffice. Thank you Kai, for being Kai.

This photograph immediately reminds me of the photo of Malcom X mentally preparing to make his last speech here in Harlem, NY.
